What Is Reflective Vinyl

Reflective vinyl is a special type of vinyl. Similar to standard vinyl, it can be cut to shape and printed with custom designs. What makes it special is that it has a metal reflective base that reflects the backlight when light shines on it.

How does reflective vinyl work?

HTV reflective vinyl works by bouncing light back to the original source. In daylight, the original color of the reflective vinyl decals looks similar to common vinyl decals. But under a headlamp or flashlight, the decal looks like it's lit from the inside!

This is because light bounces off tiny glass beads embedded within the vinyl, bouncing the light back to the viewer.
