Although the material of reflective fabric is relatively simple, the types of materials used are relatively complicated. Today, let's talk about the reflective fabric of reflective vests. The reflective fabric of reflective vests can be roughly divided into ordinary bright reflective fabric, high-bright reflective fabric and bright silver reflective fabric according to brightness, composite process and color.

Ordinary bright reflective fabric is gray, and its glass beads are not aluminum-plated. The reflective brightness is generally around 5-20. It is suitable for sewing on light fabrics that do not require high reflective brightness, such as reflective vests that do not meet the standards.

High-bright reflective fabric is silver-gray during the day, and the aluminum-plated glass beads on the surface can be clearly seen. The maximum reflective brightness can reach more than 420 cd/lux/m, which is suitable for sewing on various reflective vests and other light fabrics.

Bright silver reflective cloth shows metallic silver color during the day. It uses aluminum-plated glass beads, and the maximum reflective brightness can reach more than 420 cd/lux/m. It is suitable for sewing on light or medium-sized fabrics with high requirements for reflective brightness and washing, such as high-quality reflective vests or reflective jackets.

Classification of reflective cloth

According to different base fabrics, it can also be divided into chemical fiber reflective cloth, TC reflective cloth, flame retardant reflective cloth, elastic reflective cloth, etc.

Chemical fiber reflective cloth uses 100% chemical fiber 190T polyester spunbond as the base fabric, which is lighter and thinner than TC base fabric. TC reflective cloth uses 35% cotton and 65% chemical fiber polyester-cotton fabric as the base fabric, which is thicker than chemical fiber.

Flame retardant reflective cloth can usually be divided into pure cotton flame retardant reflective cloth and aramid flame retardant reflective cloth. Pure cotton flame retardant reflective cloth uses 100% cotton cloth with flame retardant finishing as the base fabric, which is more economical. Aramid flame retardant reflective fabric uses aramid fabric as the base fabric, which is inherently flame retardant and suitable for firefighting clothing with extremely high flame retardant requirements.

Elastic reflective fabric uses spandex and chemical fiber blended fabric as the base fabric, which has a certain elasticity and is suitable for sewing on various elastic fabrics.
