This kind of sew on reflective  tape does not emit light itself, nor does it emit fluorescence after being illuminated by light of a specific wavelength, such as ultraviolet light, like fluorescent materials. Instead, it directly reflects the light from the light source. However, this kind of reflective material does not simply and directly reflect the incident light like a mirror (unless the incident light is perpendicular to the mirror surface, there must be a large or small deviation in the direction of the reflected light and the incident light), but no matter what direction the incident light comes from , it can always reflect light back in the original direction. This phenomenon is called "retroreflection"
