What is iron on reflective tape

Reflective heat transfer vinyl also called reflective heat transfer tape. Reflective heat transfer vinyl is largely similar to fabric reflective fabric tape, and their biggest difference is that reflective fabric tape is mostly used for sewing on fabric. And reflective heat transfer vinyl transfer surface's hot melt glue to fabric by heat press machine.

Compared with reflective cloth tape, iron on reflective tape does not require sewing, so it does not leave needle eyes on the fabric, usually used for waterproof clothing, so you can accord your manufacture requirement to decide what tape you need to order.

Two different materials of reflective heat transfer vinyl

The surface of the reflective heat transfer vinyl has a layer of pet protective film, which is to protect the glass micro beads that play a reflective role is not easy to wear or fall off. Until the end of the hot, the PET film can be striped off. YSM's current heat transfer film has two base, one is TPU, and other one is PES. When the base is TPU, it is usually necessary to add a protective film at the bottom of the vinyl, because the melting point of the TPU heat transfer vinyl is low, if stored directly, the temperature rise may lead to vinyl's mutual adhesion. At the same time, the TPU iron on safety reflective tape is elastic and suitable for elastic fabrics and sportswear, while the PES reflective vinyl only with a little bit elastic, so that suitable for non-elastic or micro-elastic fabric.

The steps of heat transfer

Method 1 (two-step pressing):

1. After the position is calibrated, press for 5 seconds to fix the pattern on the substrate;

2. Cold Peel off the PET composite film and press it for 8 ~ 15 seconds. Method 2 (one-step pressing):

Correct the position, press directly for 10 ~ 20 seconds, and cold peel off the PET composite film.
