Methods for fixing reflective tape for clothing

Hot sticking process

Materials and equipment:
Hot stick reflective tape
Hot press machine
Protective film (to prevent the tape from being directly exposed to high temperature)

Steps:
Preparation: Clean the surface of the clothing to ensure that there is no dust and oil.
Pre positioning: Lay the reflective tape according to the designed position, and it can be fixed with clips or temporary tape.
Hot pressing setting: Set the appropriate temperature and time according to the characteristics of the tape and fabric. The general temperature is 150-180℃ and the time is 10-20 seconds.
Hot pressing operation: put the garment and the tape into the hot press, cover the tape with a protective film, and start the hot press for heating and pressing.
Cooling and shaping: After the hot pressing is completed, cool for a few seconds, take out the garment, and ensure that the tape is firmly adhered.

Advantages: The hot pressing process makes the tape firmly bonded to the fabric, resistant to washing, and suitable for mass production.

Sewing process

Steps:
Design and cutting: According to the design requirements of the garment, cut the reflective tape into the required length and shape.
Pre positioning: Use a sewing needle to temporarily fix the tape on the garment.
Sewing fixation: Use a sewing machine to sew along the edge of the tape to ensure that the seams are even and tight.
Inspection and trimming: After sewing, check whether the seams are firm and trim the excess thread ends.

Advantages: The sewing process is simple, the equipment requirements are low, and it is suitable for various types of fabrics and garments.

Self adhesive process

Steps:
Clean surface: Make sure the surface of the clothing is clean, dry and flat.
Cutting tape: Cut the length of the tape as needed.
Paste positioning: Tear off the protective paper on the back of the tape and stick it on the clothing according to the designed position.
Compacting and fixing: Use auxiliary tools such as scrapers to compact from the middle to both sides to prevent bubbles and wrinkles.

Advantages: Easy to operate, no special equipment required, suitable for short-term use or quick application.

Precautions

Fabric selection: Different fabrics have different adhesion to clothing reflective tape. It is necessary to select appropriate reflective tape and fixing method according to specific circumstances.
Cleaning and maintenance: After fixing, pay attention to the cleaning and maintenance of the clothing, and avoid using strong alkaline detergents and high-temperature drying.
