What is flame retardant reflective tape?

Flame retardant reflective tape is a kind of reflective fabric, which includes a flame retardant cloth base layer, which is characterized by covering the flame retardant cloth base layer from bottom to top with an adhesive layer, an aluminum reflective layer, and a high refractive index glass bead layer, wherein each glass bead has a part of the sphere embedded in the aluminum reflective layer.

Working principle

The reflective part of the flame retardant reflective tape is made by using the retro-reflective principle of high refractive index glass beads and an advanced process of focusing post-processing. It can reflect direct light from a distance back to the light source, and has good retro-reflective optical performance regardless of day or night. Especially at night, it can play the same high visibility as during the day. Safety clothing made of this high-visibility flame retardant reflective cloth can be easily found by other rescuers whether the wearer is in a distant place or under the interference of light or scattered light.

Classification

Flame retardant reflective tape can usually be divided into cotton flame retardant reflective tape and aramid flame retardant reflective tape.

Cotton flame retardant reflective tape uses 100% cotton cloth with flame retardant finishing as the base fabric, which is more economical and affordable.

Aramid flame retardant reflective tape uses aramid fabric as the base fabric, which is inherently flame retardant and suitable for firefighting clothing with extremely high flame retardant requirements.

Features

The base fabric of flame retardant reflective tape can be cotton or aramid.

After post-processing of cotton, flame retardant is added to the fabric to produce flame retardant effect, which is low in cost and of course the flame retardant effect meets the relevant standards.

Aramid is inherently flame retardant and has excellent properties such as ultra-high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, light weight, insulation, anti-aging, and long life cycle.

Uses

Flame retardant reflective tape can be used for road traffic safety products and is widely used in reflective clothing, various professional clothing, work clothes, fashion, shoes and hats, gloves, backpacks, personal protective equipment, outdoor products, etc. It can also be made into various reflective products, which is also an ideal choice for medium and thick fabrics and thin fabrics.

The clothing made of flame retardant reflective tape has striking reverse reflective performance when there is weak light in low visibility conditions.
